We all do things we're a bit reluctant to admit, some things that are pretty big and other things people just don't really care about, and I've been sharing mine in a series of posts I've simply called - 'Things I Probably Shouldn't Admit.' If you'd like to see my Music and Film/TV editions you can find them here, but for now, here are a few things to do with my phone and iPod...
- Sometimes I feel like I need a new profile picture for Twitter/Facebook and proceed to take about 20 selfies. After a thorough X-Factor style elimination, I end up deleting them all and forgetting it ever happened...
- When I text, I get just a little bit too thumb-happy and end up making an awful lot of typos, mainly hajaja, and I don't even bother correcting them, sorry friends...
- I'm an app hoarder, I just don't delete them, and at one point I had about 8 pages full of apps. Luckily I found it in my heart to group most of them into 'Games I Don't And Will Probably Never Play Anymore' and 'Random Shit' and have narrowed it down to 2 pages. If it wasn't for that moment of weakness, it may never have happened...
- I don't like the emoticon ':P,' especially when it's used on its own in a reply, but I feel like there isn't any other apt emoticon, for those non-emoji platforms. ':)' feels so shady and sinister, and ':D' is just a bit too happy, so I have to settle for the cheeky little bastard...
- Going back to the apps point, I get really OCD about the front page of my iPod, but none of the other pages...
- I have used the 'sorry I didn't get your text' excuse before, but only twice, which I'm actually quite proud of...
- Sometimes I do check to see if someone's been online, but usually a few hours afters after I've texted them just to check that they're still... y'know... alive...
- If I pass a stranger in the street and they don't look too friendly, I'll whip my phone out and pretend to text...
- Most of the time when I do this, I end up texting myself Marina and the Diamonds lyrics...
- Sometimes I'm a really bad friend and just don't text people, because I have nothing interesting to say. This usually happens when I've talked about something, and you can tell that they don't care, so I don't talk about it again, and end up with nothing to say. Sorry friends...
- Finally, I'm a little bit of a hypocrite. One thing I really hate doing is texting people when they're out, either for a night out or a day trip or whatever - I just think it's a bit rude, but sometimes when I'm out and I'm not active in a conversation or something, I'll sit there and text people. Sorry friends...
