A Few February Faves

05 March 2014
There haven't really been that many new things I've been loving over the past month, but one thing I haven't been loving is how hectic the past week or so has been, for no apparent reason, meaning I've abandoned my poor little html-based-offspring - my blog. Luckily, it isn't as dependant as a real baby, and is still surviving... just.

Anyway, here are a few things I've been REALLY loving:

In my quest to keep eating healthier, and my now complete ban on chocolate for lent, I'd been looking for a biscuit alternative for a light, night snack. I loved the apple and sultana slices my grandad always used to get, but saw the new-to-me-but-probably-not-new-to-other-people orange version, on sale in Tesco, and just stocked up. They're tasty, they're filling, they're low in pretty much everything you want them to be low in - just everything I was looking for...

Continuing my love of orange, I saw this on the same day and just had to pick it up. It smells exactly like a Terry's Chocolate Orange, and you get a good whiff of it whenever your hands are within a metre range of your snout, making the day just a little bit better. I appreciate it's a 'Fun Edition,' potentially being marketed towards children, but the second you open it up to have a smell, and go on to have a mini orgasm in the middle of Tesco, there's no saying no really...

A music video I've been loving is The Saturday's 'Not Giving Up.' It's not the most exciting video, it's not the most colourful video, but I really love the idea of the white glow-in-the-dark tubes. You may want to grab a rolling pin and join in with the routine, you may want to lay down and hold said rolling pin against your chest a la Mollie, and you may want to repeat just one... more... time... Oh yeah the song is fun and catchy too, that also helps...

I couldn't write this post without mentioning Camp Takota. Want to see what I thought of it in a bit of detail? Great, here's my review...

Still... the best show ever. It's quirky, it's my kind of humour, and every character is just brilliant. BBC4 have just started showing it again on Wednesday nights, at 11pm, and I couldn't be happier...

Finally, my love for The Body Shop's shower gels has intensified, and I'm still forever lusting over the strawberry one. The satsuma and coconut are also great, but the strawberry one, damn, they got it so right...

  1. I'm trying to wean myself off kitkats using those Go Ahead slices! Have you tried the blueberry ones? Lovely :)
