The Grapes, Hayes // Grub Crawl

09 January 2015
Over the weekend, me and my friends got together to finally do our Secret Santa. We were planning on going to The Harvester, but when faced with an up-to 2 hour wait, we decided to try elsewhere and landed in The Grapes, a Beefeater in Hayes.

I kicked things off with some cheese, bacon and spring onion potato skins, which were bloody lovely.

I went on to suffer the effects of a couple of cheeky lemonades...

The lights were cool, and provided a nice little spotlight for me to pop my plates under to take pictures. I felt very professional.

Whilst 2015 is all about me trying new foods, I decided to play it simple and go for ye olde faithful - fish and chips. 10/10 would bang.

The vinegar came in this lovely little jar (also see that spotlight I was talking about ey?)

For pudding, I opted for a simple chocolate brownie (that was warm, dense and not sickly at all, aka perfect) and some vanilla ice cream. Luuush.

When it came to bill splitting, it came to just under £20, and tbh it was worth it. A lovely, lovely meal. Service towards the end was very slow, but the food (and company, obvs) more than made up for it. Good job everyone. Claps all round.
