Quick Meals: A Waffling Banana

18 September 2013
I've been a little naughty recently and started skipping breakfast, so I thought I'd try and find some quick and easy things to try and ignite some excitement, instead of just cereal or toast. Here is the first of what I hope will be many discoveries...

This ~shove-a-load-of-stuff-on-a-base-of-some-kind~ type of breakfast was the first thing I wanted to try, and played it safe with a simple chocolate and banana on a waffle combination.

It took me literally a minute to make this. Popped the waffles in the toaster for 30 seconds, and whilst they were doing their thing, I sliced up a banana ready to put on top. I had some chocolate syrup in the cupboard which I tried to artistically pour over them, but if you don't have that, or have more time you could just as easily melt some chocolate. You could also switch it up and have some thick cream/ice cream/purée or something instead... go wild~

It also cost 42p to make, although the chocolate syrup was pre-bought for £1.50 in Tesco, so let's call it 45p.
